St. Lucia: everything you need to know when arriving

St. Lucia Departure Tax

​Passengers over the age of 12 leaving the island via plane will find themselves subject to the St. Lucia departure tax.  This tax is EC$33 or USD $13.  The tax is typically included in the price of an airline ticket.

Arriving in St. Lucia by Ferry or Cruise Ship

St. Lucia Airport Parking

Visitors arriving at Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) will find that parking is very limited.  In fact, there is only a small parking area with 100 spaces.

​This is because most people arriving at or departing from the island rely on taxi services and find no need for short or long term parking.

PARKING RATES

• $3 ECD  for the first hour or part thereof
• $2 ECD  per hour or part thereof after the first hour until the fifth hour
• $15 ECD daily beyond six hours
• $15 ECD  for lost tickets

​SHORT-TERM UVF PARKING

​For travelers in need of short term parking at Hewanorra UVF Airport, a 100 space parking area is situated directly across from the entrance to the Departures Hall.  Short term parking is available free of charge, but it is important to note that while it isn’t usually a problem, security in this area is quite basic.  It is not necessary to book short term parking in advance of arrival.

​LONG-TERM UVF PARKING

If you require long term parking at Hewanorra UVF Airport, it is recommended to phone the airport manager at 758-454-6355.  The long term parking area is shared with short term parking, but it might be possible to arrange extra security.  Long term parking at Hewanorra International Airport, while uncommon, usually does not incur any charges.

​DISABLED UVF PARKING

If you require disabled parking at Hewanorra UVF Airport, it is recommended that you contact the airport manager at 758-454-6355 to learn what options are available to you.  There are parking bays available outside of the entrance to the Departures Hall that tend to have excellent availability, and passengers arriving at the airport in need of disabled parking will find it easy to secure a convenient parking space without the need for advance notice.
